Hi, I’m Heather – a BACP Accredited Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor with almost 30 years of experience. I trained as a therapist after having counselling at a difficult time in my life – and having therapy made such a difference to me that I wanted to go on and learn the skills, so that I could offer them to others. Now I offer humanistic, relational and integrative therapy and supervision to people who feel they’d like to look at their issues with support – and ultimately to understand themselves better.
I hold the following qualifications:
- Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (1998)
- Diploma in Casework Supervision (2002)
- ILM Certificate in First Line Management (2001)
- Introduction to Online Counselling – Kate Anthony (2007)
- Effective Telephone Counselling (2007)
- BACP Accreditation (2010)
- Mindfulness Teacher Training Certificate – Mindflow Training Ltd. (2013)
- Mindfulness Practitioner Training Accreditation with Mind in Salford (2017)
- Compassion Fatigue Train the Trainer Certificate, TEND Academy (2017)
- Compassion Focussed Therapy Module (Level 7) at the University of Salford (2019)
- Moving Your Practice Online – Online Therapy Institute (2020)
- Person Centred Expressive Arts Training – PCEAT uk (2025)
I welcome and enjoy working with people from different backgrounds and cultures to my own, and my practice is LGBTQI+ – friendly and neurodivergant affirming.
I offer counselling and supervision sessions in person, by telephone or by VSee or Doxy.me video-call. I also offer outdoor therapy and supervision for people who prefer to walk and talk, whilst being supported by nature.
